A high pressure ridge across Jamaica. Additionally, there is a low-level jet stream across the central Caribbean.

The high pressure ridge remains across the island through to mid-week. Windy conditions will persist for the period and mainly across southern parishes due to the presence of the low level jet stream.

A low-level jet stream is a relatively narrow band of strong wind in the low levels of the atmosphere…

This Afternoon - Isolated showers and possible thunderstorms across sections of western parishes and some hilly inland areas, otherwise partly cloudy. Windy across coastal areas.

Wednesday- Possible afternoon showers and thunderstorms mainly across sections of southern parishes, otherwise partly cloudy. Windy along the south coast.
