There was a mad rush at the May Pen Ice Company as several hundred persons flocked the company to get a little of the precious stuff from as early as 6:30a.m. in the morning. The company had sold its entire stock on Monday following Hurricane Dean. A number of persons were still left disappointed while others paid as much as $600 for a bag of crushed ice, which normally sells for $250. One person even paid $500 for half a bag of this precious commodity.
