Grace expected to weaken
The US National Hurricane Centre is reporting that the seventh named storm of the 2009 Atlantic hurricane season, Grace, is expected to weaken in the next 24 hours.
Computer models showed Grace packing winds of near 70 miles per hour, and heading on a northeasterly track that could take it in the general direction of the British Isles.
The Centre says it expects the storm to be eventually absorbed by a large non-tropical low-pressure area.
The 2009 Atlantic hurricane season has been quiet, with only two of the seven named storms becoming hurricanes.
