Fred, no threat to Jamaica

According to the National Hurricane centre (www.nhc.noaa.gov) showers and thunderstorms associated with the remnants of Fred is located about 1020 miles east of the northern Leeward Islands which remains disorganised.

This system is not a threat to Jamaica at this time.

However, enviromental conditions could become marginally conducive for the re-developpment and there is a low chance less than 30 per cent of this system becoming a tropical cyclone during the next 48 hours.
