On Saturday June 2, 2012 the Kiwanis Club of New Kingston expanded its community outreach when they partnered with Church of The Open Bible and took Health Screening for Vision, Hearing, Dental, Blood Pressure and General Medical Checks to over 125 children ages 3-13 while 60 parents and guardians simultaneously benefited from educational talks on nutrition and well being. This health fair cum social interaction took place on the grounds of the church and beneficiaries consisted of members of the church and residents from neighboring communities as well as children from Obistan Prep, Dews Avenue Prep and Duhaney Park Primary Schools.

Reading is Fundamental - Reading Corner with activities such as coloring,
face painting, balloon art and story telling are some of the fun activities introduced to keep the children occupied.
Children who were found to be suffering from Hypertension (High Blood Pressure), vision and hearing impairment and other ailments will be assisted with follow up treatment by the Kiwanis Club of New Kingston.
