At least four men are reported to have died in Trinidad and Tobago after eating a meal of curried chicken and rice.

Authorities say three of the men died before emergency help arrived, while the other died in a hospital in southern Trinidad.

Media reports say all were over the age of 40.

The Trinidad Guardian says the police are also working on a theory that the men drank homemade wine and ate the curried meal, which was laced with a poisonous substance before their deaths.
